Stevepeanut volunteered his bike for a free wash, and he rolled up with a pile of road dirt that was almost recognisable as a Gixer.

Stevepeanut armed with a cup of tea and a fairing panel to prime for painting (no such thing as a free bike wash really is there!), and I was armed with a range from the Autoglym Motorcycle Cleaning Range.

Unusally the Autoglym Motorcycle Cleaner comes with a spray applicator, so there is no measuring out the right amount of liquid to water (and lets be honest, no one actually bothers measuring out the correct liquid to water ratio do they??). Simply spray over your bike, and give it a wipe and then rinse off - couldn't be easier huh?

With spray in one hand and cloth in another it was a quick run over the bike and rinse off - it didn't however wash the bike for you - but it was easier than running around with one bucket of suds, and another to rinse. It was a little strange not to be washing with a pile of soapy suds, as the Autoglym Motorcycle Cleaner only suds up where you are washing, and with this - you wash one part at a time. Normal bike washing tricks of using tights to clean off the flies were used, this is not a heavy duty cleaner - for stubborn and hard to reach areas, I used the Degreaser - see other review entry.

Using the cleaner the second time around was a lot quicker as I got used to clutching the spray bottle and a sponge - It will be interesting to see how many washes the bottle will do. Oh and YES, this IS only the second opportunity I have had to test it !

Actually I think the best thing about this cleaner is that you can clean small areas without having to wheel the bike outside and get out the bucket and hose. Which is pretty ideal when a lot of people actually keep thier bikes inside their homes, or don't want to get soapy water all over the garage floor.

I couldn't be done with washing the whole bike, so just gave the wheels the once over. no mess - squirt and wipe..!
