A mini tour, suggested by one of our users. This takes in a long weekend touring the south coast. You can start at either end, but we're working east to west.
You can do this tour in day, but along the way are some great roads and short ride outs, and things to do as well - So if you're taking your partner along as pillion you can keep them happy too!
If you want to stop off, don't forget our Biker Friendly Accommodation Directory, for secure and garaged parking.
Why start in Eastbourne? Well Pevensey Bay to be presice, Take the A259 towards Brighton. Its not so full of retired people
that's its a bad place to start. The A259 From Newhaven to Brighton is a pleasant coastal route. Drive off before you hit Brighton, at Rottingdean on the B2123 and head West along the A27.
The A27 is riddled with roundabouts - which can give you a bit of practice at getting your knee down. Take this all the way to Arundel and have a cup of tea. Popular visiting point for the local
motorcyclists. There is a great castle for visiting and various pubs and tea shops for a coffee, meal or an ice cream!
Head back out of Arundel the way you came and take the A284 towards Littlehampton and then rejoin the A259 to Bognor Regis. Then time permitting Go down to Selsey on the coast via the B2145, close to Chichester.
